You will hear the waves, the cicadas and, now and then, Filios the parrot. Beyond that there is olive and lemon, open blue in every direction, and dolphins often enough that guests stop being surprised.

Our Story
The house stands on the headland between Agios Ioannis and Damouchari, on the Aegean side of the Pelion peninsula, roughly halfway between Athens and Thessaloniki. Ten rooms and apartments face the water, and a second building behind them holds most of the rest.
Everything happens on the central terrace. From there a path drops through the garden to the southern end of Papa Nero, with an open-air shower halfway for the walk back up. Below the stairs there is a corner of beach that is good for swimming and diving, and a wooden deck built out over the sea that retreat groups use for yoga and workshops.
We should say plainly that the path is an old stone one with steps, and it does not suit wheelchairs or pushchairs. Ask us before you book and we will tell you honestly whether the house will work for you.

Katerina’s parents. Fluent in Greek, in body language, and in a handful of German and English words.
